From Idea to VR Game World in Three Hours

From Idea to VR Game World in Three Hours

17 Oct 2026 · 13:00–16:00

Create a VR world, explore it in virtual reality, and compete for prizes!

Ever wanted to create your own 3D world for a VR game? Join this hands-on workshop to learn how to build a virtual world using World Builder, a free tool developed by the i-Game project. You’ll create your own VR scene from scratch, then explore the worlds created during the workshop using VR headsets.

No previous game design or VR experience is needed! We’ll guide you through the entire process step by step. You can work individually, in pairs, or in teams of up to three people. Just bring your curiosity and, if possible, your own laptop.

There’s also a friendly competitive element: once the worlds are ready, participants will get to explore each other’s creations and vote for their favourites. The creators of the winning worlds will receive prizes!

More experienced game designers are welcome, too. If you already have experience with game design or 3D tools, come try out World Builder and share your feedback to help us improve it.

World Builder is part of the i-Game project, which aims to develop a platform that brings people from different fields together to co-create games. The Estonian National Museum is a project partner representing museums and the cultural heritage sector. By testing the tool and experimenting with VR world-building, we’re exploring how game design and cultural heritage can come together to inspire new ideas and experiences.

The tool is free to use, both during the workshop and afterwards, so you can continue creating and experimenting on your own.
